Last week, went to the 1st session of Dr. Sketchy’s in Oklahoma City at the AKA Gallery. Unfamiliar with Dr. Sketchy’s? So was I. It’s basically a life drawing session…but, a burlesque life drawing session. The model - in this case, Tulsa’s own, from Eye Candy Burlesque Troupe, Ilsa the Wolf - does a series of poses for those in attendance to sketch and take photos. With music playing (they played some Bowie, so I was pleased. Alas, no Tool…) and booze available, it’s difficult not to have a good time. The scenery ain’t bad either.
